Imagine a long 18 hour day, filled with sweat and muscle aches and tears and then coming in for a late dinner in a HUGE tent for about 2500 of your new closest friends and being surrounded by THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS you have EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE. Some after the walk photos & what happend to all those tents

The pink ribbon from camp and holding was moved to Ann Arbor Rd in Plymouth, it is between Main Street and Lilly (aka Vanessa's Flowers 545 Ann Arbor Rd).

Came home last night to a neighbor with a yard full of pink tents, she is a Girl Scout Leader and they were donated to her. She has pitched them to dry out and clean. Almost all of those tents were taken by local orginizations

Such a beautiful sight to lay eyes on after a long hot day of walking. Thank you so much for the pink carnations used to decorate the giant pink ribbon. It was so beautiful to see it fill with flowers and turn into such abeautiful symbol of love and hope. The dining tables were also beautiful, adorned with such a wonderful variety of flowers from all over the world. The smell of the lilies was very healing. Your kindness to the walkers and workers of the 3-day will not beforgotten.Thank you for adding beauty and peace to our campsite.

The flowers were beautiful - I have never seen so many flowers in my life!!! I was on the Camp Services Crew so I was lucky enough to help put the arrangements together. I have never done this before, but with the great variety and quantity of flowers it wasn't too difficult to make a nice arrangement. Attached is one of my creations! :) Thank you so much for the generous donations to help make our dining tent smell so fresh and look so beautiful. With all those beautiful flowers we didn't even notice how sweaty and smelly all of us were. Thanks again for adding that extra special touch!

I want to thank you for one of the most beautiful gifts we have ever had at the Michigan Breast Cancer 3 day.

This was my 7th event in Michigan and I have enjoyed pretty flowers there before, but this year was awesome. The flowers were so beautiful and displayed in amazing ways. The fragrence in the tent was fabulous (loved the lilys) and it sure did help after the way we returned to camp in the heat! What an incredible view from the back of the dining tent to see all the bouquets on the poles and displayed across all the tables. It was breathtaking!

The "vases" were so cool too. Who would have thought 3 water bottles tied together with pink ribbon would look so amazing with roses in them? The sunflowers were so cheerful and heartening after those long miles. There was a pretty little vase with the most beautiful white tulips I ever saw, especially in 93 degrees. The little rose "trees" in the big cans were also a hit. My head was turning the whole time going "oooh look at those and wow, look at these"!

I was a crew member this year and after spending a 10 hour day in the sun I can't tell you thank you enough for the beauty that surrounded us. It was incredible and peaceful, and awe inspiring (how did you keep them so fresh?). As a former walker, I can thank you for the big pink ribbon because it sure feels good to add your flower to the ribbon as a mark of success. I know it must have meant a lot to this year's walkers too.

I wish these two words could convey all I would like them to. If my soul could, it would sing with gratitude. The spirit of the 3 day was in each flower, blossoming with strength and beauty and blending its individual beauty just as each walker and crew member blended their uniqueness to support each other for 3 days and 60 miles. You filled our senses and touched our hearts. I am very grateful. Thank you, Thank you!

3 Days, 60 Miles, 1800 Walkers 400 Crew, $4.7 Million Raised

Survived another Michigan 3day. Served on the Camp Services Crew with a crew of 40 and my "squad" of 6 who self titled themselves the FB girls, I said Flower Babes and they said something else...... with over 8000 stems of flowers donated we managed to put 2-3 arrangements on every table in the dinning tent (seats 2500) and again created the 8' pink ribbon. As each walker entered camp they were given a carnation that they then put into the ribbon. I do all that with donations from Wholesalers, Brokers and Growers, when asked why, I can only an answer because I can and should. We need to make camp better than being at home for the walkers, flowers is just one of the many ways that the crew makes it happen. Check out the photo gallery for some photos

My daughter is a cancer survivor and has been involved with the 3 Day for 7 years now. Every year is special – but this year was made especially beautiful with the donation of all the gorgeous flowers. After a very long and very hot day your flowers really made everyone feel beautiful and extra special.

After the evening was over my daughter packed up some of the extra flowers and I picked them up and brought them to several nursing homes in the area. The residents were thrilled to have them and so you helped make their lives a little more beautiful too.

I want to personally thank you and Vanessa's Flowers for the wonderful displays for the Michigan 3 Day. We are just
back from the San Diego 3 Day walk and there was not a flower to be found. We were explaining to the other walkers at back in Michigan the dining areas looks more like a party than a food tent. Also, the pink ribbon flower was so great. It is as if there is a small piece of each walker represented in the final project. Thank you for brightening up a long weekend.

My Purpose For This Blog

We need to thank the donors of all the flowers used in camp for the Michigan 3Day Event. All the flowers that we used (along with allot of help form other crew members and a few professionals) to create the arrangements and the giant pink ribbon. Those people are the flower wholesalers, brokers and growers.
Please send notes of thanks, of how they made you "feel", anything to say thanks. email us photos, lots of photos with descriptions and notes to 3dayflowers@vanessasflowers.com. Pictures say a thousand words. My ultimate goal is to take this nationwide. To take this nation wide will require the help fo a sponsor. If you think this is worthwhile, please post why and I will use your notes to sell them on the idea.
